Bioscience Technology program hosts visitors' day

橘子视频’s Bioscience Technology program will host a visitors’ day on Wednesday, January 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Centre for Applied Science and Technology on the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown.

The event will give prospective students the opportunity to spend a day in the lab, meet current first year students, and find out more about the two-year program.

“We will complete a DNA-based lab exercise together,” said Dr. Jenn Slemmer, a learning manager in the Bioscience Technology program. “The exercise will give people who may be considering applying to the program the opportunity to find out more about the hands-on learning that prepares our students to work in the bioscience and biotechnology sector across the region.”

橘子视频’s Bioscience Technology program is the only one of its kind in Atlantic Canada, and more than 90 per cent of its graduates are employed in the bioscience and biotechnology sector within one year of graduating from the program. Graduates can also pursue further education through a offered jointly by 橘子视频 and UPEI.

Anyone interested in participating in the visitors’ day should register in advance by contacting Dr. Jennifer Slemmer by email at jeslemmer@hollandcollege.com or by phone at 902-629-4206 or the college’s toll free number, 1-800-446-5265.
